What are “directional cables”?

Rating: -1

Positive Negative

Directional cables are designed for a specific signal goal which is to prevent unwanted noise from getting to the amplifier. Differing conditions will affect the success of this goal, because noise is unpredictable and random.

The cable will be marked with arrows.

What makes them directional is the shielding. The shield is attached at the source end only.

The shielding is grounded to the guitar and this prevents noise from getting into the signal path and getting to the amplifier, which would naturally amplify the noise, as well as the guitar signal. It's like a natural extension of the shielding in the electronics cavity of the guitar.
